About Hardy Construction Inc.

Lee Nieman, General Contractor and Owner of Hardy Construction, began building custom homes in Alaska in 1993 working for a company in Eagle River. After a few years in 1997, Lee went into business for himself and his first project was to build the well known Alaska Sportsman Lodge, a large project located in a remote location along the world famous Kvichak River. Through the years, Lee has continued work at the Alaska Sportsman Lodge helping them build new cabins and structures there.

Hardy Construction Inc. is a family owned and operated Alaska busines specializing in building quality Linwood Homes and custom homes designs built to customer specification. As a small family run Alaska based business, they only do a few custom built homes per year.

If you ask Lee he will tell you – “I’m not a person who staples out as my houses as I can. I’m a very picky person as far as quality work performed. That’s why many of my crew members have been with me for 20 to 25 years and most all my crew are journeymen. That’s one thing my dad told me years ago. Do the job the right way and don’t cut corners the first time and you will never have to go back and fix it again.

I have built many custom homes that were Lindal custom cedar homes, Linwood custom homes, and Viseroy custom homes. Then, Linwood custom homes came to me and asked me to be a certified Linwood Homes dealer and builder in Alaska. Now, I build many Linwood homes as well as I other custom homes and cabins from customer plans and ideas.

You will generally find me out on the job site not in the office. I do much of the work on each custom project we build. I myself specialize in spraying finishes, trimming, decks and really enjoy the art of stonework. I’m known for the highest efficiency and quantity homes and cabin and personalized experience. Many of my clients have become good friends and return clients over the years.”
